  • Test the RTL from a User perspective on a mixed-signal FPGA-based emulation platform
  • Validate new digital IP and architectures on an FPGA prior to silicon being produced
  • Create reliable and reusable evaluation tests for complex chip evaluation on an FPGA
  • To work with the Verification team to off-load system-based and interoperability tests from the simulation environment
  • To work with the post-silicon evaluation team to ensure a smooth transition between pre and post silicon phases, maximising both efficiency and coverage
  • To contribute to development of a comprehensive set of emulation tools
  • To work with the applications, verification and software groups to develop use-case-based testing on the FPGA
  • To define and run functional validation tests to prove the FPGA builds prior to FPGA distribution

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Electronics and/or Computer Science (or equivalent demonstrable experience)
  • Verification/validation techniques and methodologies, including strong debugging skills
  • Use of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers etc
  • A curious and enquiring mind with the drive to follow through on getting answers
  • An innovative, creative, lateral thinking problem solver, keen to engineer solutions
  • Able to work well with others and to interface to different groups within the company
  • Able to work to tight and variable timescales
  • Excellent attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of LabVIEW and Python
  • Embedded C expertise
