Enigma People Solutions is looking for EMC Characterization Engineer to join our multinational electronics client’s imaging division based in Edinburgh. In this role you will develop and execute automated tests on the RF/EMC lab bench, as per the validation plan during post-silicon phases of the product development, to ensure functionality and performance across a range of EMC tests.

The successful candidate shall join an existing team to take responsibility for test development in EMC & ESD testing of all CMOS Imaging products (Image Sensors and Photonics Silicon devices).


Key Skills


  • Degree in Physics or Electronic Engineering
  • Background in the EMC validation particularly of semiconductor products
  • Use of standard RF Lab Test Equipment expected;  Spectrum Analysers, RF Generators,  TEM Cell,  Striplines, etc…
  • Previous Application SW Development (Python) beneficial
  • Previous Data Analysis experience beneficial – SAS JMP, MATLAB, XLS
  • Develop a deep Product & User Application understanding on ST ToF products
  • Previous Performance Characterisation or Silicon level Design Validation of electronic devices
  • Technical Document Authoring e.g. Datasheets and Application Notes


Useful Knowledge and Experience

  • Familiar with Schematic Capture
  • Familiar with PCB design
  • Previous Darkroom or Photography Skills advantageous
