Enigma People Solutions is recruiting an Electronics Engineer for our client's newly opened Edinburgh Advanced Design Center. The successful candidate will play a critical role in building the next generation of LiDAR systems for autonomous vehicles, UAVs, industrial automation and other applications. This position is a research and development focused role for an innovative and versatile Electronics Engineer who is keen to get involved in all aspects of LiDAR sensor development in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, characterization and testing of electronic modules
  • Prototype development, testing and calibration
  • Collaboration with mechanical, firmware, software & hardware engineers.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals and presentations
  • High speed, high power electronics and system design
  • Analog and digital (mixed signal) PCB design
  • Schematic capture and layout/supervision of layout of PCB design
  • Power management system design
  • IC design characterization board design
  • Real-time sensing systems

 

 Requirements:

  • Advanced Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Recent graduate or graduate up to 5 years of industry experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on lab experience with characterization of electronic systems
  • Knowledge and/or experience in PCB design and layout
  • Knowledge and/or experience in circuit simulation (SPICE etc)
  • Some experience in soldering, electronic board assembly and testing.
  • High frequency electronics design a bonus
  • General-purpose programming with at least one high-level language a bonus
