Technical Lead

Enigma People Solutions is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Lead to join one of our newest clients. Our client is an industry leader in smart document collaboration software used by over 250,000 customers including industry leaders such as IBM, Deloitte and FedEx. With four sites worldwide, they are currently looking for new talent to join a growing team of skilled, personable and down to earth engineers that enjoy working in a collaborative and respectful environment and experience great leadership. To be of interest you will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, experience and skills.

  • Writing maintainable and scalable code
  • Fixing bugs for a document management web
    application; liaising with Product Managers and Test team to ensure product
    features meet requirements
  • Participating in project estimation and scoping
  • You will act as a design expert for all areas of
    code to maintain a high quality within the codebase
  • You will also act as a design authority for the
    Development Team as a whole.

Core Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent team player who can work effectively
    as part of a cross functional team
  • In partnership with the Architects, contributes
    to the strategy phase of client projects including evaluating and recommending
    technical solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    with the ability to effectively and articulately be able to convey complex
    technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
  • Understanding complex business and technical
    requirements, and how to best implement robust, reliable, and maintainable
  • Strong full stack development experience
  • Strong depth of knowledge for good software design,
    not just the latest trends
  • Ability to work independently as well as to
    follow instructions of product managers
  • Comfortable working within a rapidly changing
  • Proficient in Design Patterns, Software
    Principles and Best Practices
  • Willingness to learn from both success and

Technical Experience:

  • Proven commercial software development
    experience in Java (5+ years)
  • Experience of PHP development would be
  • Experience building scalable and performant
    systems based on-premise and cloud
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles, and
    frontend technologies (CSS, JS, TypeScript, Vue.js)
  • Server configuration (Ubuntu/AWS), Command Line
    Tools, Configuration Management, Orchestration Tools, and Virtualised
  • Understanding of Data Stores, using SQL or Flat
  • Testing Tools and Principles
  • Degree in computer science or any other science
  • Familiar with Linux environment
  • Experience in Spring, ElasticSearch and
