Digital Business Awards

We are delighted to announce the launch of the heraldscotland.com Digital Business Awards 2011, and our sponsorship of the Digital Supplier Award.

Back for their third year, these dynamic industry awards recognise the success of businesses large and small in seizing the opportunities offered by digital technology and the internet.

All types of digital project are eligible for entry across twelve categories: websites, games, mobile technology, business software, search marketing or even a simple but effective social media campaign can be put forward. The only requirement is that you can demonstrate success – be that inventive, financial or simply in terms of popularity.

This year’s judging panel includes experts in innovation, design, marketing and technology who will be on hand to expertly consider every aspect of your submission. Although these are digital awards, we’re not necessarily looking for shiny bells and whistles. A project which can demonstrate clear business results is just as likely to excite the judges as an innovative start-up with no track record.

Past winners have ranged from multi-national design agencies to local community support centres. The only thing they have in common is a good idea, executed well. I’d therefore encourage companies of all sizes and from all disciplines to take a look at our new category list and see where your project might fit.

The gala awards dinner in October is not just a cracking night out, but also presents a great opportunity for networking, bringing you face-to-face with key people from the Scottish digital community.
